Hello Roger;

You want to enter a Blog under the Blog portion entry if you want all to see your post. You can enter a blog from any site that has a post to public. Entering a post here is only for this pic/song or video you are posting in. I'm the only one that sees this unless someone else decides to view this particular video. Then, they'll see your post here only and too can talk to you from here as well.

Well gee whiz Joe...or Bigahole;
I'm sorry you didn't like the song. I can't give you back your used minutes of listening to the song. Kinda like I can't give back the votes that people voted on Obama. Once you use this option...it can never be returned...Sorry 'bout that. I suppose your name says it all.

Well, a lot of people (no matter which church they do or do not attend) need something to wake them up to live a better life for Jesus - including myself.. can't point at someone else without have 3 pointing back at yourself of course. I remember when this came out and thought it was funny then and still do -- Wake Up Call!! Jesus will be coming again soon!!

Hello Dale;
I lived in Ocean Springs for 4 years just about 10 miles West of you about a mile off the Gulf Hwy. I've caught many a crab and shrimp there. I did the Marble and Ceramic tile in the Fountain Bleu, Imperial Palace and several other Casinos another 5 miles or so West of you in Biloxi MS while they were being built. Loved it there but the hurricanes were...devastating. I heard this song long before I moved to MS. Glad you enjoyed it.

I Appreciate your fine comments about this video. I've also noticed that most of you haven't done anything to beautify your new Multiply website. Even if you're using the free version of Multiply you can still have a choice of multiple themes for your site and put all sorts of videos, pictures ETC... on your new free site here. I too would like to visit your sites as well and comment on your version of self expression. When you do please send me a link. I have a lot of videos on my site other than this one and you all are free to visit any one of them or all.

Again, thanks for your comments and have fun,

Being able to make a little gentle fun of oneself and not get too self-righteous (love the name of the church!) never does a human any harm. Great song, terrific production values, great fun for those Christians who aren't too po-faced to take a little ribbing.

Ray Stevens has always been a great singer/song writer ALL of his songs are fantastic. it would be hard to pick just one as a favorite. If I had to choose, it would be "The one I'm listening to right now!" My name is Margaret, so I like "It's Me Again, Margaret!. Hee hee"

Although living in Oregon now (and the rest of the country through the years), I am still a Mississippi girl heart n' soul. I have always thought this song was hysterical but had never seen the video. Hilarious!!! I wonder if maybe the folks (like the guy who wants his "time" back) who don't see the humor in this possibly just don't understand the humor, culture, tale-tellin', and insanity of the Deep South. Thanks so much for posting this. My brother sent me the link. :) It has made my day.

Christians seem to be falling away and we need to pray them back into the kingdom of God because Jesus is comming back real soon, just take a look around you, the signs are all there.

I haven't had much to smile about lately with all the men and women coming back in body bags, the President denouncing techniques that have saved lives of out men and women in the armed forces and a Congress that will not stand up for the people who elected them to office. So this was the one thing that I did smile about and even shed a tear, for being from a small southern town in rural Georgia, we as kids sure pulled off some unexpected pranks also.

Well, those of us from the Northeast enjoyed them so much that we kept asking them to play them over and over. Such fun we had on those long bus rides from place to place!!!

Ray Stevens (Ragsdale) is an Albany, GA native but finished high school in Atlanta. I knew him then. He is best known for his satirical songs, creating a new genre of music, so I am told. Yes he did Guitarzan, Ahab the Arab, Everything is Beautiful, and a number of others. He got his big start as a summer replacement for the Perry Como show I think. Presently he resides in Nashville doing urban renewal, one or two houses at time, or so the story goes. A true creative talent.

Hello C2;
It's been 10 years now since I lived in Ocean Springs. 3 of my kid went to school in Ocean Springs back then for 3 years. Some of my friends worked in the ship yard there in Pascagoula. Love throwing the net and catching shrimp and had 3 crab traps. We ate like kings there. I loved it buttttt, we all grew up. Now my kids are spread out over the states and I'm in Gods country...South Dakota. Not much shrimping here and the crabs are a bit scarce but the catfish hod doggies. Love these Black Hills and the weather. Snow that would make a BIG liar outta that Gored fella. Him and his stupid global warming bit. Feel sorry for you living in the worse crime area of the states per capita or what ever that word is. Have a good year and watch your back. They ain't laid back there like MS is. Everybody is out for number one there.
Glad you liked the song.

I am a Senior Soldier and part of the Praise and Worship Team at the 6th St. Citadal in New Westminster, BC, Canada. We all need a good laugh now and then to lift our spirits. This not only lifts my spirits, but reminds me of those who need their spirits lifted the most; those who are lost and empty, as I once was, and sometimes I need a reminder from time to time. I'm positive God appreciates humour, thus His gifts to us with persons such as Ray Stevens and our Captain Dave. If those who read this are ever in the New Westminster area, please attend our service and stay for a hot meal after. Not only hear the true Word of God, but be entertained by our Captain Dave. God bless you Ray Stevens and those who need rival the most.

The song and video were well put together how ever i found the story line to be a little over the top. You had me up until the squirrel started running around in the man and woman's pants. I would find it hard to believe that people would confuse a squirrel in their pants with an act of god i mean you would have to be pretty deranged. But then again i bet that the majority of the people that like this voted for George W Bush and don't like Obama because hes black and or muslim. Religious rights hinders society's progress i mean look at the middle east. And if it wasn't for all the Sara Palin supporters in this blog i would want my 3 min back too. God hold a special place for those to stupid to think for them selves.

Very Funny!!! Ray Stevens is a nut! LOL!!!
I also lived in Pascagoula and worked at Ingall's Shipyard. It was in ' 73 - ' 75, I survived two hurricanes in those years.

I have lived in Mississippi and loved living there, but back home in Kentucky for the time being. This tune w/video is hilarious! Love the name of the church too! But, it could have been set in almost any of our "southern" states.

"teabagfags" said, "God hold a special place for those to stupid to think for them selves." Wow, I'd be really embarrassed if I had made two spelling errors in THAT sentence. And he even edited it. Hint for tea: TOO (adverb), not TO (preposition). And if you wanted THEM SELVES to be two words, it should have been THEIR (adjective), not THEM (pronoun) SELVES. It passed your spell check because they're real words. Spell check doesn't know how to use them any more than you do. Let us know where that special place is when you get there, tea.

Have any of you watched any of the other videos in this file? There are about 12 I think and they are all worth watching.
